First off I'd like to say that this thread has exceeded my wildest
expectations.

Anyway Todd I use, SURPRIZE!, cave line for this fuction and it works
great. I would like to mention that one of the zip tie failures I
experienced was the one holding the surgical tubing to my secondary
regulator.

I create a loop with the tubing, tie it together with cave line Then I
take the tails and wrap them a couple of times around the mouthpiece and
tie if off there. It has been this way for over a year now and it is
holding up great, better than the zip ties I might mention. And also much
more comfortable as you don't have the rubber tubeing pushing against
your lips when you have to use this reg (which I do once in a while just
to check for function).
