Jim, I read your post as I await being unsubscribed. I feel compelled to comment. Besides never doing the training dive in question in the first place. You do not leave a student. Especially one that has already told you they are having trouble. You do not let them get away from you. If you somehow let them get away from you, you pursue and rescue. If you are not willing to attempt the rescue, you have no business teaching anyone. I can't believe you even publicly stated what you did, you were joking, right?
