Brian Libby, pres. of the West Coast Technical Divers club should be subscribing here soon, if he hasn't already and I somehow missed it. In any case, I spoke with him briefly, and there is a meeting of the WCTD tomorrow, Saturday the 8th, in Long Beach, CA, if any of you are local and interested. I don't know if there is any particular program other than pizza and beer, but there should be some interesting people there including Frans Vandermolen of Flying Dutchman Hyperbarics. The meeting is at Cirivello's in Long Beach, 4115 Viking Way, 310-420-2113. They are also going to have a meeting at tek, and probably more between now and then. Just heard about them, don't know much else, but I believe they also have some overlap with the California Wreck Divers. Brian can be faxed at 310-364-5270, or try calling me, but I don't know much more. If you're still reading this, you're probably local. If you go deep, look for white abs as long as you're down there. They've always been rare, and are usually only found at 120'. Anyway, McCormick & Associates is a breeder up in Oxnard that breeds abs to re-stock the coastline. They only have one white ab right now, a male. I think we all know how that is. If you see a white, take it; they're still in season for a bit. Out of season, McCormick can deputize you if you know a good site. If you get one, call them at 805-488-1041 or 805-640-1180 and they will go out of their way to get it from you. ------------------------------------------------------- Roger Carlson w 310-812-0430 somewhere off Hermosa Beach, Cal f 310-812-1363 roger@ch*.sp*.tr*.co* h 310-frogger ------------------------------------------------------- spending my days under hundreds of feet of C....
