Beating out the Spare Air is not sufficient to make it worthwhile. I don't see it as grossly unsafe, but it does seem less safe than a conventional pony system. The integrated valve/first is not interchangeable with anything else, so it's a liability in the field unless you carry a spare - but I already carry enough spares, thank you, and most recreational divers don't carry any. At least if a conventional pony reg dies on a trip, there's a prayer of getting it fixed or renting a replacement. I also am concerned with the HP quick-disconnects, half of each one stays on each first stage - that's two failure points, not one, with the transfill disconnected, and more with it connected. Okay, I've said all this enough times. I agree, this is getting old, and I think I'll retire from the discussion. Jan: honestly, good luck. You have the guts to try making a go in a consumer market, and I admire that. I just don't like this product.
