cousin "Van"s) got me inspired.

So, I am pleased to announce the First Annual Fake George Irvine
Contest.  The winner of this contest will receive $100 cash.

The winner will be the person who most successfully 
imitates George Irvine in a post to cavers, techdiver,
or the rebreather list, as judged by a select team
of individuals with long familiarity with George's
unique posting style - in other words, everybody.  

To keep it fair, and in the spirit of GIIII himself, the
person, or group of people, who shout the loudest
that a particular candidate should be the winner
will be allowed to skew the vote.

Yeah, it's all a bit fuzzy, but it's my hundred bucks
after all, so I get to make the rules, and its bound to 
be funny.

To enter, just make a convincing George Irvine look-alike
post to any of these lists.  The contest will be judged
sometime in a couple of weeks when it looks like most 
of the entries are in, and/or the thread starts getting
old.

To win, your post must have a valid email address.  Posts
from safari.net and juno.com will be accepted, but will
be treated extra critically.  Sorry, no posts from Hotmail
accounts (or their generic free-email equivalents) will
be accepted.

Let the spoofing BEGIN!
