The original thread of this discussion was regarding whether the ambulance
would be taking a non rebreather mask off a DCS patient that a fellow diver
had applied and replacing it with their own mask which in all probability
would already have one of the side valves removed to allow in ambient air in
case of  O2 depletion

The triage situation I was referring to was a ambulance one,not a dive
accident

I have already stated that in the case of DCS I would be replacing our missing
valve
