I have been following the thread on diet and diving fitness with great interest. I am under the impression that this discussion began to address obese divers specifically. I have a question that I hope someone could answer. I am 6' 5", but only 180 pounds. I have a very fast metabolism, and have always had my skinny body type. I only do minimal weight lifting or strength excercises currently, but I do maintain my cardiovascular fitness by a combination of running and swimming. This regime has been very beneficial to me, as my endurance has increased and RMV gone way down. Is there anything I should know with regard to the type of workout or diet most suitable to my ectomorphic body type to maximize cardio fitness gain? I am somewhat self conscious about looking like a pencil, and intend to begin some sort of weight training to bulk up a bit. I am curious as to whether this will have a negative effect on my cardio fitness, and if so what is the best way to increase body weight while minimizing the negative impact on my cardio fitness? Thanks in advance, -Sean -- Send mail for the `techdiver' mailing list to `techdiver@aquanaut.com'. Send subscribe/unsubscribe requests to `techdiver-request@aquanaut.com'.
