I have heard of a viris that can trash a hard drive.  It was developed for
the US govnernment to destroy data on hard drives.  The thing is that you
have to infect yourself by opening the file.  It CAN'T jump out of a email &
trash your system.

About the best I could come up with now to do something like that would be
to send you a .bat file that does DEL *.*. Maybe if I had some more free
time, I could write a program disguised as a video game that deletes your
files. I've never heard of a virus that can cause a mechanical failure like
you describe. In other words, I didn't do it!
