As a matter of fact the other day I was out again in the St Marys River
between Lake Superior and Huron(32 degrees and 4 knot current), and my
friends Zeagle Tek 50 severe blew an o-ring on the on the swivel (the part
where the lp hoses attach and allow the attached lp hoses to move around
freely on the body) on the first stage, this reg had only 10 dives on it at
most. I had to shake my head, because luckily this happened on the surface
on the predive and not in the water, it leaked air as if there was on open
port on the first stage.

I have never liked those lp hose swivel (like on the Dacor, Scuba Pro,
Zeagle etc) and consider them a point for failure, it is just one extra
o-ring to worry about.

Any one else with a similiar experience?

As for the Maximus, I have never seen a problem and have seen it dove in the
extremists of conditions, I have yet to see it fail, but I am not a fan of
the dry bleed system.

Last Dive Gros Cap, Lake Superior, Temp 32 degrees farenheit 0 degrees
celsius 45 minutes.

Take care everyone

Rich Hayward
