I am again running 5 days of Special Use Permit dives to the **USS MONITOR** aboard the Margie II out of Cape Hatteras, NC. This year's trip is scheduled for Monday, August 24 through Friday, August 28. There are a few remaining spaces available. The Monitor Sanctuary is a deep, offshore wreck site. The wreck lies in 235 fsw. If you are a QUALIFIED diver interested in a full trip information package regarding charter fees, liability releases, accommodations, and dive operations - feel free to reply to this email. As many of you know, last years trip in late May was severely hampered by the weather. I have moved the charter dates to late August to hopefully alleviate this problem however this is HATTERAS were talking about!! The only thing you can guarantee about Hatteras weather - is that you cant guarantee anything. For those that remember the 1996 charter in mid-September, we got 3 out of 5 days but the trip was "shot gun" between two separate hurricanes - Fran and Hortense.
