	Although I carry a liftbag on all dives I use a delayed SMB for non
shot-line ascents.  In my particular case, as is the norm in my club in
Northern Ireland, I have 15m of line attached, marked off in three metre
intervals.  The intention behind this is that should my Aladin Pro fail,
and my watch and depth guage (during or nearing decompression and ascent
time), I can still have a vertical reference of depth for decompression
stops if need be.  
	It just happens this is the way my club operates, no better no
worse than many others.
