[Gordon describes an extremely complex one] I use a very simple decompression marker (delayed SMB) which is a 1m long tube on 10m of line. This is fairly standard practise in this part of the UK. There is no reason why a standard lifting bag couldn't be fitted with an auto-dump (provided it could be set up to dump at the right pressure. That might make it a bit more stable, if you really want to use it to send up shotlines (and anything more valuable that you might find on the bottom). Regards Pete
