These include: 1) date of manufacture, first hydro date and subsequent hydro dates 2) tank type: DOT-3AL, CTC/DOT-3AL, etc 3) rated pressure: 3000, 3000-J, 2650, etc 4) special permit or excemption numbers: 6498, 7042, 8107, 8364, 8422 5) manufacturer or resellers name: Faber, Luxfer, USD, etc There's a lot there sometimes and I'm sure I am only a little more informed than you, so there may be more or I may be misinterpreting some of it. You just have to hunt through all the alphabet soup. Basically if it says DOT-3AL anywhere on it, regardless of the special permit numbers, make sure that the visual is current and was done properly. Which applies to all tanks...right? This should just act as a reminder to be more vigalant about something that we all might be a little loose with at times.
