I've been out on the Great Lakes in raunchy weather many a time, and I've always been as solid as a rock, but take me out on the ocean even on the calmest of days and it's pretty much guaranteed I'll be sending my breakfast in first to check the water for me. After that I'm always good to go, but I hate summoning Ulrick like that. And rinsing gear off after a dive? Real diving water rinses your gear _during_ the dive.
