Bill where did you get the idea that 'some forms' of Techdiving are outlawed in Australia? What do you mean? I dived my homebuilt rebreather off a charter boat in Sydney yesterday and got no complaints or problems. I haven't experienced any 'outlawing' of techdiving however it certainly isn't as popular here as in the States. If gas sales are banned over there It will just revert to what it was before tech diving became 'popular' ie. Backyard fills etc by those interested enough to find out how its done rather than people paying for a dive course and getting a card that says they are capable of killing themselves. This might act as a filter for idiots and make it safer anyway.
