>(I would put the odds on 2 hydros at most before it's returned with >a hole punched in it). Tell that to the guys who have been doing that to their 104s for years. Go to just about any northern Florida shop, and ask for a fill for your 104s, 3500 PSI is the norm. I would not fill over 3500 anyway, because it stresses the regs. You don't need a plugged disc for regular OW, but I hate them anyway, and have them available. I usually fill to 3000 or so. The reason I use the 104 in the first place is for extra weight. I can use my single tank rig, and only need to stash an extra 5 pounds to be weighted correctly (drysuit, cold water). With an Aluminum tank I need to add an additional 6 pounds or so over and above the 5 pounds. BTW, the 'Y' or 'H' valve only works if you use your own tanks. If you rent tanks you just have to redo your regs. Since I don't have an extra reg set for OW, I just use my hogarth set, and I don't bother with changing hoses, etc. -Jon -- Send mail for the `techdiver' mailing list to `techdiver@aquanaut.com'.
