Made good dives at the head springs on Sunday and Monday.
Upon checking in, we were told by Quint of the Sheriff's office that the
Optimist's Club of Jackson County is submitting a proposal to run the
commercial dive operation to be located at the head springs.(Quint is also a
member of the Optimist's Club) Apparently, even though Anna is out, the
Optimist Club is in. Hopefully, they will consider and address the concerns
of the cave diving community in their endeavor.
After our dive Sunday we hung around and had another fire in the
peacefulness of the Mill Pond. I will miss the quietness and serenity of
our post-dive evenings when we are no longer by ourselves because of the
commercialization of the spring.
As a side note to : Wayne Head or John Rose
we turned in the glasses that were left on the bench to the
Sheriff's office
