Bar none in this area there is nothing better. At least myself and Heather dive this stuff and don't just talk about it like all the others. As a Course Director for a major training agency , an avid hogarthian cave diver, and technical dive instructor, who has been diving for eighteen years I can say without a doubt that the most professional and well run operation in Pensacola, Fla. for technical diving is MBT Divers. Unlike, Dive Pros owned by Mr. Freeland and his brothers, MBT is regularly running "technical" dives in Pensacola while Divepros refuses to allow any deco diving whatsoever on their boats. Divepros is a shop that changes recreational agencies on a regular basis. First they were NAUI, then they were PADI 5 star; now they are back to NAUI - who knows what they will be next week? While everyone agrees that at times George's internet behavior leaves something to be desired (no matter how funny his expressions are) no can argue with his message. Divepros only connection to technical diving is that two of its staff are members of WKPP. The title to Mr. Freeland's article in Deep Tech is "I wanna be a stroke too", and it appears he has succeeded without ever even making a real technical dive in his life! If you are interested in making real technical dives out Pensacola Florida, try this: 1) Call Divepros and tell them you would like to make a decompression dive over 130 feet and see what happens. 2) After being told that this is too dangerous and you don't know what you are doing; 3) Call MBT ask them the same question. MBT will set up the dives to the best spots between 130-300 feet that Divepros doesn't even know exist (they are too busy catering to cattle boat divers). MBT offers complete training through tri-mix using hogarthian methods and are doing real dives! Remember, don't listen to strokes. -- Send mail for the `techdiver' mailing list to `techdiver@aquanaut.com'. Send subscribe/unsubscribe requests to `techdiver-request@aquanaut.com'.
