... the nemesis takes samples every second, and you can set it to save
from one second on up depending on how accurate you want your graphs
to be... this is an incredible piece of equipment, we are using four
of the units on our national geographic project and they are invaluable.
Getting most scientist to keep a log is like pulling teeth and this
system makes it totally painless.. you get so much information you
wouldn't believe it.. just to name a few: temp; higest, lowest and
average. breathing parameters; higest, lowest and average (perfect
for computing gas management). oxygen tox numbers; cns % and otu's
(nitrox only, which by the way, the % of o2 can be set from 21% to
50% and can be set at the shop or
on the boat) ascent rate; this is the probably the best part of the unit,
it has bars setting on top of each other that get darker as your
ascent rate goes up... no more unsafe ascents. then you can down
load the info onto the computer and see what your ascent rates look
like on the graph. it also gives you your maxmim ascent rate and
the depth at which that took place. The battery voltage is always
shown so you know where your at (on the computer print out) before
the next dive. the breathing parameter, ascent rates, depths, consumption,
are graphed on different screens. You can see your profile and when
the gas switches are made (ie o2 deco) and your stops are clearly
"lined" out, to make a long story short, this system allows you and
or your team to fine tune your program to what ever degree you want.

there is more, but i think you get the picture. have to add that
one of the advantages of this system over other nitrox units is
that if you piss it off by violating one or more parts of the
deco profiler you can *still* down load the information, where in
one of the others you have to wait untill the unit comes back on
to see your profile. imo that's when you would need the info the
most, if you had a problem you may be able to see what or why.

if you have any other detailed questions you can e mail me directly,
not to get harassed by giving the impression that this is an
advertizement, just in agreement with the past posts that this sort
of system should be the standard...

aloha,
dennis
