Subject: to flare or not to flare?

Question(s):
    Does anyone on this list take skyblazer flares with them on the
 far offshore dives? What kind of container do you use to keep them
 dry/intact? Does anyone know at what depth/pressure copper
 tubing (plumbing) with sealed ends crushes at?
       Most importantly: is all this a bad idea? Give me your thoughts
on
 this... I'm listening.
