So, if I understand you correctly, you dive under ice, using FFM's without a
clearly defined need 
for them, you dive on air to 200 feet, and you use the FFM's deep.  Forgive me
but from this 
information it would seem that the biggest hazard has, in fact, absolutely
nothing to do with the 
first stage.
