Subject: Re: What is Deep?
Steve, while we appear to be open to anyone at WKPP, and I do encourage
ignoramuses like yourslef to come see just how far off base they really
are, a guy with your attitude would not make it out of the parking lot
before a guy like Scarabin or Sankey had already thown you out head
first.

I have seen some of my guys drag strokes out of the ater. I watched
Carson make a "stroke arrest" on one jerk, who like you, thought that
dropping down deep on air ( in basicly open water ) was a smart thing.
Carson ran him down and rescued him to the surface, and threw him out.

If you or anyone else can explain a gear config to me that makes sense,
I will listen and not laugh. You can't do it. The two fingers thing is
an example of bullshit beyond the pale. I use two fingers to do
everything, and only one finger to deal with bullshit like you write.

The reason that most deep air accidents are not in caves is definitional
- until recently , everyone thought that the sixty or so deaths in the
120-170 range were some unexplained phenomenon. The fact is they were
screwups, and screwups are easier when impaired to ANY degree.

Notice that in Mexico , where the caves are ten feet deep, the only guys
who get killed are open water divers, and the cave divers who get killed
( exing out students of horrendous drunken strokes) were killed in the
80 foot range on air - got turned arouned, and those caves are far more
complex and confusing than anything we have in Tallhassee at 300 feet. I
bet a tough guy like you would not get turned around at 80 feet on air,
right? You have deep air training, and are good on air, I bet. I bet I
could have you clawing at the ceiling five minutes into a dive with me,
and selling your gear in embarrassment.

Steve, wake the hell up - getting high and diving don't mix in any
environment.
