Nigel Beighton asks about drysuit gases. Argon is indeed what most people here seem to be using. It is cheap and easily available from welding supply companies, and even some dive shops. A typical setup is to use a six ft3 pony bottle with a cheapo regulator first stage and drysuit inflator hose. Some people recommend using an overpressure relief valve on the first stage (made in the US by a company called DSI) to protect the inflator hose ($90 for Viking hose vs. $20 for valve). Some places will fill the pony with Ar for you, but since six ft3 is only enough for a couple of dives most people rent a larger tank and fill their ponies using a transfill hose and a CGA scuba block adaptor. An important thing to do if you use this system is to have a backup inflator hose from your main tanks in case the Ar fails. jheimann@sc*.gt*.co*
