Charles,

I wish you good luck selling your Farallon. I have no experience with these
scooters, because they are really nonexistant in Europe. I have had all
different kind of zepps and other brands of scooters, all of them are gone
except three which are gathering dust, replaced by Gavin style scooters
now.
I got a scooter from George about one and a half years ago.
I have never seen George or other WKPP people in person.

The transaction was without any foul. George charged only for shipping what
it actually cost, and after checking the shipping at first and getting my
approval. I also got a charger because I ordered it, after he confirmed
that it would also run on 230 volts.
I have no good news on his guarantee personally, but only because the
scooter did never fail. I have run it til now for more than 100 hours. The
only thing I changed on the scooter was the 15 degrees nose up trim to
horizontal, which can be easily done positioning the batteries or internal
lead.

The scooter is not blind fast, it goes a little bit faster than a zepp on
speed three, which is just right for cave diving. But it will go 90
percent time( and distance) longer than an equally sized zepp.

So, your buddies have a broken reed switch. I have only seen broken
switches on my zepps til now, only after transport, which are difficult to
change on a zepp. But what is the deal with changing a switch on the Gavin
scooter? It takes longer to take a replacement out of the box than changing
the switch in the scooter.

You said, the scooter was three pounds positive. Let me guess. The weight
is 47 kg. Three percent are 1,41 kg, equals 3,1 pounds. Sounds that it was
balanced for fresh water and used in the sea. Anyway, it is easy to adjust
a positive buoyancy on a scooter, only a negative buoyancy is a nightmare.

I could see how George handled guarantees on someone's scooter here in
Europe. He has given full support. Fact was that it was messed up by the
customer( that is my opinion by seeing what has happened). A "legitimate"
company could not have handled it better and faster, if at all.

Cost 3500. I think it is worth the money. Price may have gone up due to
improvement to the motor, as far as I know.

After sales service? Just perfect, George has answered any question I have
had. Most of my questions had to do with building parts myself, not with
the operation, which is more what you would get from a "legitimate"
company.
Remember, I have never had any personal contact.

Regards, Reinhard
