He just called. He and Mount will come by here on their way back up to wherever. On the reg, it does not seat up properly internally, and it cuts loose or grabs intermitantly. There is some kind of copper ring inside that it uses to seat itself, and that is a hit or miss proposition. I have one and have to hold it together with my hand while I turn it on to keep it from blowing gas everywhere. You need a strong hand, one that can apply more than the intermediate pressure of the reg. Pick up a bathroom scale and see what you can make it read with your hands. I use mine to blow the suit up with another bottle prior to the dive, not in the water. I use one of my very best regs for an argon reg - if it does not work, the dive does not work.
