I've been prompted to write by the mail about 'any of the fairer sex on the
list', (but.. PS I'm a brunette!!)

I've been 'listening' into conversations for about 4 weeks now and so
thought it about time to introduce myself.  I've been quiet until now - as
you will see from my experience in the next paragraph some of the current
conversations are above my head (or below my feet as the case maybe) - my
deepest dive so far has been 46m - achieved on the Markgraf in Scapa Flow.
Hopefully this situation will change soon and I will be able to contribute
to many of the interesting discussions going on.

I'm a BSAC advanced diver, about to do an Advanced Nitrox course this
weekend and the BSAC ITC in November.  I've been diving for just over 2
years now mainly in the UK, I try to dive each weekend, but have also spent
a few holidays diving in the Florida Keys, Hawaii (Maui), Dominican
Republic and St John.  I've now logged just about 200 dives.  Earlier this
year I helped set up a new BSAC club in the Reading (UK) area and for my
sins was elected secretary and membership secretary so that keeps me out of
mischief for most of the time.

I'm off diving in the Florida Springs area in October so any advice on what
to avoid or what not to miss would be greatly appreciated.  If all goes
well it will be a return there later to start cavern and cave diving
courses.
