Its really simple, be properly trimmed so that you can use your drysuit as
your primary buoyancy compensator with the dump only one or two clicks up,
when your gas runs lower adjust the dump to the loosest setting (this will
compensate for the weight loss). Do not use your BCD during the dive, this
only complicates things (use your BCD only as a backup system if your suit
fails & at the surface to get your head out of the water). If you do this
you will keep a better trim, a sleeker slipstream, have less confusion & you
keep the air where you really want it - around you!

I have seen many people in drysuits with really poor bouyancy control, a
couple of hints and their dead on in the next dive (your control should be
better in a drysuit than when diving in a wetsuit).

Weightbelts are only good for non deco openwater diving. What good does
ditching your belt do if your in a overhead enviroment or have a deco
obligation? If your diving with one and it fails (as I have seen many times)
then your really screwed.
