I've been thinking it would be nice to have a single tank adaptor for my backplate, and would be interested in any comments or advice - there are no shops that carry them up this way, so I have never seen one in the flesh, let alone had a chance to try one. Looking at the pictures, though,, I don't see how they could be very rigid - most of them appear to strap the tank to a \_/ shaped SS channel, then bolt this channel to the backplate. But considering the size of the bolts and the contact patch, and the fact that the wings and grommets are in between. it doesn't seem this would be very rigid, expecially with a big tank. Also, someone mentioned here a while back there was an easy way to make the adaptor out of plastic pipe, but going through the archives I haven't been able to find anything about it. -- Send mail for the `techdiver' mailing list to `techdiver@aquanaut.com'.
