I'm not a "medical type", but I'll share with you my own experiences. I
have a similar "trick" shoulder that sortof serves as an indicator that
I've been a bad boy. For me it doesn't happen after every deep dive - only
certain profiles and only on air. I think the original insult to my
shoulder was a DCI hit many years ago. The symptoms are EXACTLY as you
describe, and last for the same period of time.

When I was recovering from my serious CNS hit, my doc (Dr. Bob Overlock)
explained to me that one reason I was more likely to get bent again, and
if I did get bent again it would be CNS, was that I had scar tissue on my
spinal cord. Since scar tissue tends to get very low perfusion, it acts
as an "ultra-slow" tissue, which may not be accounted for by decompression
algorithms, and hence, may be a good place for bubbles to form. My
"trick" shoulder acts up only after profiles which "pump up" slow tissues,
so it makes sense.

Like I said, I'm not a medical type, so I look forward to hearing from
others on this forum if what I described above is consistent with medical
understandings of things.

Aloha,

Rich
