In short: What is the rate at witch OTU's decrease? The REPEX chart provides limits on a daily basis, decreasing as as the = expedition lengthens, ranging from 850 on day 1 to 300 on day 10 = onwards. Now I know it is not in every person to blow the OTU clock on a daily = basis, especially not on short expeditions (2 to 4 days), but the daily = limit of 300 could be easily reached on the longer expeditions. The REPEX chart, again is a guide line, just like deco schedules, your = are never fully gaurenteed that it works 100%, but is there a way of = building a credit, say should you not dive on day 4 through 6, and again = on day 7. I know there may not be specific answers to the above, but how do you = treat this point on long expeditions, or is it simply ignored? I raise this question from a deco schedule I prepared using the one of = the computer deco software programs. Day one conisted of two dives, 50m = and 40m with a 5 hour surface interval. After futher 24 hour surface = interval the 3rd dive of the expedition was planned. There was no = decrease in the OTU for this period, yet CNS had decreased to virtually = zero. Do the two not go hand in hand. I would appreciate any meaninful response. Dennis Harding. -- Send mail for the `techdiver' mailing list to `techdiver@aquanaut.com'.
