  With apologies to those who already know this.
  I have now discovered the connection between (a) ppO2 meters, and (b) fuel
cells, which puzzled me (and therefore perhaps also others who are not
accustomed to automatic mixture rebreathers) in my previous messages to
Techdiver. I have now found that a ppO2 meter is a very small fuel cell that
takes its oxygen from the gas in the breathing set's system. The fuel cell
gives current at a rate proportional to the ppO2 in the gas available to it.
