I just finished reading the Winter 1997 issue of Immersed. You know what? I was impressed. No where in the magazine did I see articles about how Sofnolime will save our planet. No where in the magazine did I see people talking about how the Atlantis I rebreather is the only way to see orca's in the wild. No where in the magazine did I see garbage journalism and tons of ad's for things that the publishers are involved with. Instead, straight talk about technical diving. There was an article on the WKPP, an article on The Hogarthian Way by the godfather himself, a couple of articles on the psychology of extreme diving (risk assesment), an article about the effects of pressure on various different drugs, an article on caves in Brazil, a great article titled "Technical diving: Too Far Too Soon?" (Bozanic, you beat me to that, great job except the comment about the instructor being qualified to dive air to 300'), and more. Not only was this magazine packed, it actually costs less then another well known "technical diving magazine". Ken ps - And on the inside cover is Robert C., the man, the myth, the model. His motto is "I'm not only the man behind Brownies, I'm their chief model too!" -- Send mail for the `techdiver' mailing list to `techdiver@aquanaut.com'.
