I actually discontinued my subscription as have many other people who
actually know the full story. Now lets see if we actually get our money back
(I know - don't count on it!). My problems included one issue never being
sent and we all know when the last issue was actually delivered. On top of
the unprofessional administration the articles for the most part belong in
some gossop rag and not in a technical diving magazine. Being as the owners
of this magazine have alot to gain from selling classes you will never see
truly technical information within it's publically accessable pages, just
continued product advertising under false pretenses.

Just look at the content so far this year:

-Each issue has several articles pushing their rebreather that in any other
mag would be under the heading of "paid advertising" with no articles about
any other system even though four other manufacturers actually started
shipping this year - including real news about how some of these systems
have actually been used for some truly technical exploration.

-An article about cave diving that details and promotes genuinely dangerous
techniques (thet even put a small disclaimer at the end to cover their butts
legally). (I especially liked the photos of cave divers in OW gear including
snorkles)

-Various other articles that once again could only be described as blatent
advertising for their agency.

-Dare I even mention the dribble in the latest issue. That insulted the
intelligence of anybody who knows the real story (and even many who don't).
I have talked to several people lately who know almost nothing of the WKPP
or its outspoken leader who were offended that thay were being charged for
this garbage. I personally don't feel like paying $7.50 for basically one
man's tribute to a lost friend and a bunch of biased personal attacks
against a very successful dive group in Florida because they spoke out
against a dangerous practice that the publisher of this rag is making alot
of money from, thats really all there was in that issue. (George can go a
little over the top sometimes but his messages are right on the money - alot
of people have learned quality info from him that improves safety and
reduces diving expenses)
