When I was new to cave diving, I did the same thing you did: I asked who was the best and went to them . At that time is was the WKPP, and I went to Alton Hall for instruction. He taught me cavern and then sent me to Parker Turner, who then got me involved in WKPP. There I saw the Bill Gavins, and went to them for information, just like people come to us. The only difference is that then there was only one Bill Gavin, and now we have a whole team of pros in every area, and we believe that anyone can do it better if they do it right, and we give everyone that chance and the information required to do it - this can only help diving in the long run, and with the Gilliams still out there, we need al the help we can get. Have any of you ever witnessed anyone or anything more destructive to our sport than Gillaim and TDI? -- Send mail for the `techdiver' mailing list to `techdiver@aquanaut.com'.
