Actually, I started out with what Cobb is mentioning, only there were no deco prograams, I had to put Bulhmann's model into D Base ( an old spread sheet program) and I did not have a sensor. Parker Turner borrowed my credit card at a gas station one day and went to the phone booth and oredered me a Miniox from Jack Vilas in Morgan City. I did not pay any attention to the trimix webb page thing. I do not like to see ego threats in diving set up, as that is what Gillaim and the farm animals do to get people killed. My stuff is simple - you get into competitive athletic shape ( that leaves 99% unwilling), you get the information and the training ( there goes the rest ), and you pay meticulous atention to every detail. Then you do that for evey dive you do no , ven my favorite, he 100 foot lobster dive with the 40 minute bottom time. I am happy to see anyone run their mouth about mix, since the d4ath toll on air is shyrocketing. Where are you , N.C.? -- Send mail for the `techdiver' mailing list to `techdiver@aquanaut.com'.
