Just saw some announcements from SSI about their new tech programme - =
they are introducing a deep programme (to 50m/165ft) with deco, etc, and =
an Advanced Nitrox programme, also to 50m/165ft, but using lean nitrox =
bottom mixes and nitrox as a deco gas.

The deep programme seems to mean just air - EADs greater than 130ft.  =
It'll be interesting to see where their "tech" programmes go from here.

Why would they run these as two separate programmes?  To me it seems =
logical that one, integrated, intensive programme is the way to go.

In order for me to take a trimix course from IANTD I had  to complete =

1. Nitrox

3. Technical EANx Diver
4. Deep Air Diver
5. Advanced Deep Air Diver
6. Technical Deep Air Diver

I'm at a loss why TDI is getting all the heat about Deep Air. My guess =
is,
some of it is a personal vendetta,
