I did my own service, therefore my rights aren't contingent on anything you're capable of. If I were you, I wouldn't pound my chest, either. That's a wise call on your part. I don't care how many dives you have, one year's experiance repeated twenty times isn't the same as twenty years of experiance. Your dive "career" has left you with a level of knowledge such that you allow insurance company policies to affect your view of dive operations. The only time an insurance company method should come into play is when there are no better reasons for a method, better meaning based in knowledge, experiance, and wisdom. Only those who lack such knowledge, like your buddy Teddy, consider liability or insurance issues. Does George consider liability? Truth Aquatics? Sunshine Coast Tours? Gee, why not? Because they're the best there is, that's why. They rely on expertise, knowledge, and experiance. Until you gain those, however, it probably is a good choice for you to remain afraid of the insurance company demi-gods, and to cower in fear of lawsuits, and reduce your exposure any way you can. I commend you for a wise personal choice. I would, however, be ashamed to admit MY cowardice and lack of knowledge on so public a forum, but that, again, was your choice. --------- "Huh?" --Jammer, 1992 --------- -- Send mail for the `techdiver' mailing list to `techdiver@aquanaut.com'.
