The manufacturing of Neoprene may leave trace amounts of complex carbon byproducts in the neoprene, which people can easily be allergic to. I sometimes get a rash that will last a few weeks due after diving. Topical steroid cremes usually takes care of it. >My wife is unable to do any diving >due to her allergic reaction to latex (she is a nurse and now >uses non-latex gloves, but latex is EVERYWHERE). If so have your wife try wearing one of those 'spandex' type body suits under her wetsuit. That may prevent the problem (and keep her warmer). Just a suggestion.
