John, we have this ledge that we dive for lobsters, and we always found it by dropping on a wreck and then going off the bow. Well, Huricane Andrew moved the wreck, so it is now sitting right on the ledge, but we did nto know that, and scooterd around for ten minutes on nitrox until we actually found another ledge which seemed way away from the wreck. Then we went back with trimix and the rebreathers, and still went off the bow, but found it right away and found that the spot we had "discovered" was one little section in the whole ledge that had been right there all along, and was in fact the top of a collapsed cavern in 140 feet of water. We went back again and drifted into it since there was a boat on it , only the vis was crytal, and we stayed high due to the fact that we were on scuba, and just wanted to take a few photos and then scooter to the reef, and we discovered, by looking down from 70 feet, the the wreck sits on the ledge, and what we could to find was in our face all along. -- Send mail for the `techdiver' mailing list to `techdiver@aquanaut.com'.
