HERE WE HAVE AN EXAMPLE OF SERIOUSLY DEFICIENT FARM ANIMAL STUPIDTY 
from the TDI webb page - this is their "Extended Range" course. These
guys are so stupid as to be just plain dangerous. Notice the fist line
where they can make you "competent" on deep air. Whoever wrote this is
beyond farm animal stupid, and a dangerous stroke, but then that does
not narrow the field much at TDI, and the track record proves that.

.. INTRODUCTION

      This course provides training and experience required to
competently utilize air for dives
      up to 218 fsw / 66.4 msw that require staged decompression,
utilizing nitrox mixtures or
      oxygen during decompression. This course was formerly called
Technical Deep Air.

 II. COURSE OBJECTIVES

      The objective of this course is to train divers in the proper
techniques, equipment
      requirements, and hazards of deep air diving to a maximum of 218
fsw / 66.4 msw and
      utilizing nitrox mixtures or oxygen for staged decompression.

 III. QUALIFICATIONS OF GRADUATES

      A. Upon successful completion of this course, graduates may engage
in technical
      extended range diving activities without direct supervision so
long as:
         1. The diving activities approximate those of training
         2. The area of activities approximate those of training
         3. Environmental conditions approximate those of training
      B. Upon successful completion of this course, graduates are
qualified to enroll in:
         1. TDI Advanced Wreck Course
         2. TDI Trimix Gas Course
