Folks, I run the network (opal.com) on which the TechDiver list server and Aquanaut WWW/Gopher server are based. In the next week or so, there will be a change to the internet routing to this network which may result in the network being unavailable for a few days. Opal.com will be changing network routing configuration at some point in the days following Thursday August 18th. Planning for the changeover is already underway. The changeover should literally take only five minutes and should not be visible to list users. However, since these things can go wrong, I am advising you all of the possibility of a temporary interruption of service. Should this happen, do not panic. We'll be back. The changeover will not affect any aspect of the TechDiver list or the Aquanaut server. All host and pathnames will remain the same, as will all IP addresses. The new configuration will ultimately give us a greater bandwidth to the internet, which will reduce list transmission times and WWW page download times. We hope you will enjoy the improved service. Thanks in advance for your patience, -jr
