This is absolutely correct. Also, you need to lie the doubles down on their side. If they are standing up, gravity will pull the gas thru the valves at too fast of a rate thereby causing additional heat buildup. This can be offset to some degree if the moon is full, as the gravitational pull of the moon will have an upward pull on the gas thereby providing some reduction in friction and hence cooling the stream.
