(I posted the following request for information to rec.scuba, with little response. Perhaps there might be a better response from this group. Given the recent discussions about Odins, this posting might not be too out of place.) The new Poseidon regulator - the Triton 2000 - is just about to be released in Australia. As I haven't seen any discussion of its performance on this group I thought I'd ask if anyone out there has any experience with them? Someone suggested that they were being released in Australia before generally going on to the market as part of their continued testing, but I don't know if this is true. Perhaps the Norwegians have some information. For those of you who haven't seen it yet, Poseidon have moved away from the side exhaust, and gone with a very small (lighter than the US Divers Micra) second stage which is quite unique. The low pressure hose goes into a swivel at the bottom of the second stage, allowing it to be used from the left or right. The purge button is on the top. Performance is claimed to be high. Maintenance is claimed to be easy/minimal. It comes with a new first stage which includes an overpressure relief valve. Greg Ryan gregr@cs*.su*.oz*.au*
