    ... and silly as it sounds, one recreational diving lake near me
    is considering a policy to forbid Nitrox.  This is in a lake 18 feet deep!

Hardly silly compared to the situation in Australia where nitrox is
currently banned for recreational diving throughout Queensland (the state
conveniently located adjacent to the Great Barrier Reef).

I believe the ban comes from the state's work cover authority and prevents
nitrox being sold in dive shops, nitrox courses being taught, and may
extend to its use on commercial charters.
