Yeah Gordon, maybe that's where you and I went wrong. We picked up bad habits in the '60's. We learned to experiment just like Bill Main and also learned there is more than one way to skin a cat. -----Original Message----- From: GORDON L FULLER 901-353-7506 Sent: Tuesday, 19 August 1997 21:27 To: Garry Gillette Subject: RE: TO BE HOGARTHIAN OR NOT BE HOGARTHIAN, OR TO SIMPLY.... hello. you NAILED it. my guess is everyone who would disagree is cowed to some extent by the flaming that happens when they speak for a reasoned approach. i can remember back in the late 60's when i first got certified that gear configuration, etc, was an emerging science and experimentation was the rule. back then, you still had to be able to actually swim to be a diver. i try to practice hogarthian but will not do something just because someone whom i've never met, doing something i will never get to do, said that is the ONLY way to do it. thanks, gordon fuller -- Send mail for the `techdiver' mailing list to `techdiver@aquanaut.com'.
