All the crap you the liability cowards are spouting have nothing to do
with anything.
Either the people who sue you have a point, or they don't.
Which is it?
If they don't have a point, guess what? They're going away.
There is no way to protect against this type of suit, surely the things
brought up here are no protection. You can have all the labels, all the
cleanings, and all the waivers in the world, and my widow can still sue
you, merely by picking up the phone. None of these suits can be prevented.
Now, the other people, if they exist, are going to be a problem.
If you have customers, who, through your incompetence, have a point,
you've got a problem.
Of course, you have no business running a dive store if you produce this
type of customer, so these suits are good things. They eliminate trash,
and keep the players clean.
Nuisance suits are a fact of life.
Insurance and lawyers deal with them quite nicely, given a competent
business. Look at the home inspection business. Look at the real estate
business. Lawsuits happen. The first one is a big deal, after that, you
look for ways to avoid spending the time in court, and let the lawyers
handle things.
Oh, you weren't prepared to deal with lawyers and nuisance suits?
That's OK. There are many, many people just like you.
We business owners call them "employees".
