Jim, Most people assume the "sport diver limit" refers to no decompression air dives, or are you planning on changing that also? I believe NOAA and / or the Navy came up with the 40% rule. Since it was for their own use, I imagine they did some testing , but I would like to believe they did it just to piss you off! > > With this trick of yours, the cascade loaded with 39%, who are you trying > to fool? I mean what if the gov made a mistake (imagine that!) and the > actual percentage that nitrox suddenly becomes volatile is 38.2345% I > mean you may be endangering children as we speak! Jim, Your obviously one of those "clowns" who wants me to Air top your tank based with Oxygen. If you want to "play" gas blender, spend some real money, buy an air compressor and do it all yourself! Of course the reason your playing this game to start with is your to cheap to buy a tank of Nitrox. I guess you spent all your money on that capillary depth gauge and Timex watch! At least the people like George Irvine who gas blend for themselfs or their organization, do the entire fill themselfs, analyse it, take responsibility for it, and don't play a bunch of games to save $5! > > Rather than acting like sherlock holmes and trying to spoof your > customers by bleeding off gas (what bullshit, if you ever did that to me, > I would never darken your door again) why dont you have the rules posted > and test the 02% of every tank that enters your shop which has more than > 0psi in it? Jim, 70% of what we pump is Nitrox, and we empty those tanks to start with. The balance of my customers couldn't care less whether I empty their tanks or not. But then they not trying to play games with me! > If you feel so strongly about the rules, would this not be > the right thing to do? If you say that it would be too burdensome to do > this, is what you are saying that profit is more important than the lives > of your customers? How hypocritical! Jim, You are correct, the lives of my customers are the most important thing! When they ASK to have their tank filled with Air, they GET a tank full of Air. When they WANT Nitrox or Trimix, they ASK for it! > Or could it be that deep down you > know these rules are pretty much bullshit and you are just going through > the motions? Jim, The rules are up for debate, but theirs no doubt in my mind about you!
