The nitrox mix selector goes from around 21% up to 50% O2. The system comes
in two units, one mounts on your high-pressure port, the other on your
wrist and is about the size of your Alladin Pro. It is not really intended
or built for use during a decompression dive, like the Pro is. As a matter
of fact, it digests the information a little much for me to use in that
particular application. I find it best for those profies where you are
diving more sport protocols than otherwise. It will use up an HP port,
but I can also generally hook up an analog guage no matter what kind of
diving I do. If I need to, that is. Mostly, though, the digital readout
is probably at least as accurate as the analog, and at least as dependable,
and if it breaks, well, you'll be terminating the dive anyway, and having
an analog guage really doesn't make all that much difference, right? You'll
either have enough air for the ascent or not, regardless. Just another
hose to break.

The control part is through the computer interface, no programming on the
unit with buttons and that kind of stuff. Just an on for the tank
unit, and single button for the wrist unit. Excellent for use if you
have a portable computer. Actually, when I use it seriously, I also take m
my portable in a Pelican case.

I don't know about that. As for decompression information, the best I've
seen is the Alladin Pro, with time at stop and total ascent time.
My experience with the bridge I wore did not afford me a
look at it's read-outs. The Nemesis gives you "time at depth" which is
like the minimum of no-deco time and tank time (given air consumption) at
current depth. When it thinks you need deco, it gives you a ceiling
and total ascent, as I recall. Sort of like the Alladin Sport, if you
recall that offering from Beauchat.

Were I to choose a format for information during decompression diving,
I would choose more raw data, so I can assimilate it myself and make
decisions. One of the reasons I like the Alladin Pro. Like I said before,
I still use the Pro. The Nemesis can record the dive just fine, but
I need the information I get from my Pro, and I am used to it anyway.

I bought it from the shop where I teach, so that is probably not a good
indicator. The best thing is to check with a couple of shops that
will mail-order, and get their prices.

Well, when bent it reverts to "guage" mode where it stops giving
decompression information on the wrist unit. Which, actually, in
situations like that, is probably all you really want from it anyway.
