Bill,

In the first place, you are confusing Olympus with our competitor,
Discovery Diving Company. It was Discovery that drained the tanks, filled
them with air and removed the decal. We were asked to fill the tanks in
question with EANx30. The store manager, an EANx blender, informed the
parties involved that we require yellow/green tanks wraps per IANTD policy.
Olympus Dive Center has no qualms about providing O2 compatible air fills
(EANx21). We are an IANTD EANx facility and adhere to the policy set forth
by them and the requirements our insurance company sets.

I do not personally set the store policy concerning EANx fills. It is
not my area of responsibility. I was simply trying to clarify what the
store's postion was. I do, however, have to live by the same policy as do
the rest of the staff. My personal view is that "Breathing gas other than
air" stickers should be sufficient for identifying tanks used for EANx and
mixed gas fills. However, unless IANTD is willing to issue a statement to
that affect, the management of the buisness is not willing to accept that. I
too dislike the idea of having to put yellow/green tank wraps on my O2 clean
tanks which, on occassion, are used for trimix. However, the cost of the
tank wraps is insignificant enough, and they are easy enough to remove, that
I don't feel it's worth making a major issue out of.

Okay,

So I sticker my tanks for notrox. Then I have to buy another set or two of
doubles and singles for air (because filling "NITROX TANKS" with air would
also violate standards). Then another couple sets of doubles for Tri-Mix.

Get a FU&%$NG Life you back woods weenies! You must not want any real
divers in your so called dive shop. Do you realy think I (or anyone else)
are going to buy SIX sets of doubles pluse singles plus stage bottles just
to make a bunch of know nothing do nothing red neck jirks happy! Frankly I
feel you and any other dive shop with this aditude can pound sand.

If it has a curent visual and hydro put air in it! If it has an O2 clean
sticker on it fill it ONLY if you have a compatable grade of air (if not I
don't want it my tanks any way).

When CGA, IANTD, ANDI, PADI, OSHA, and the host of other agancies come
together and adopt ONE set for standards fine! Use it. Untill then NO
"Community Standard" is present. Only agancy standard exist. But
draining a set of tanks and removing the stickers that are on them to put
air in them and closing an isolator in the prosses is hardly complying with
any standards I am aware of!

When a customer brings tanks in for a fill, I will fill them if:

1) They'r trained for the gas requested

2)	The tanks are current for Visual and Hydro

3)	Oxygen is to be added they must comply with ONE OR MORE agencies
standards (any one or more).

4) The tanks are filled with a gas other than air the customer MUST
anilize the tanks and sign a waver stating the FO2 and MOD of the gas
before leaving with the gas.

5) The tanks MUST be labled with the contents and MOD if they contain
other than air.

You were not asked to provide NITROX or any other gas is this not corect?
The tanks were curent for VIS and hydro is this not corect? So what is
your big problem puting some EAN 21 into tanks labled "BREATHING GAS OTHER
THAN AIR"

I can assure you I will not set foot into your facility and I WILL RECOMEND
to others that they do not use your facility eather. I vote with my check
book and you just lost the election.>>
