A member of our local search and rescue team holds 3 seperate dive certs.
They are Public Saftey Diver, Dive Rescue 1, and a NAUI Ice Diver. As the
P.S.D. certification is only good for 3 years we are unsure as to what is 
the best thing for us to do. Should we get him crossed over to a 
recreational open water cert.? Recertify him as a P.S.D.? Or will his 
Ice Diver card and log book be enough to gain him air etc. if he were to
go out of our area (over sea). I've asked this question at a couple of 
dive shops and there responce was " I don't think that it would be a 
problem". And "If he has an Ice Diver Cert. than he should be able to get
air and dive anywhere". How ever, that is only comeing from shops that
know him and our organization. Will this attatude hold true in other 
areas?
 Any input along this subject line will be appreciated.
